Our DNA project just had another discovery and it's connected to our Bedfordshire Farr's. Phill Furr from New Zealand joined the project this year and matches us. I contacted Phill and he said that he was born in Pirton, Hertsfordshire which used to be part of Bedfordshire. He sent me the chart below which he said that he couldn't verify.
I took a close look at the chart and dug into the "Farr's in England" DVD that we put together years back. I was able to prove his line to Rebekah Farr from Phill Furr. The chart shows William Furr as the spouse of Rebekah and father of William Eban Furr/Farr. The problem this is that William Eban Furr's birth record states that he was the illegitimate son of Rebekah Farr of Weston, Hertsfordshire. I can't prove that William Furr of Haynes, Bedfordshire was his father, but it does look like it could be correct. If it is correct, then Phill ties into Thomas Farr and Ann Billington who is a brother to our immigrant Stephen Farr Sr. Steven Farr of Belgium also descends through Thomas Farr and Ann Billington. I checked for the father of Rebekah Farr and found her father to be Michol/Michael Farr Jr. of Weston, Hertsfordshire and his father was Michael Farr of Weston. The trail then goes cold but may connect to Hugh Farr of Arlesey, Bedfordshire. More than likely, we match Rebekah's father Michol's DNA also but we would have to have someone test that descends from a son of Michael or a brother, father, cousin etc. This is the first time we have had someone with the spelling of Furr take the test and match our group. Vanessa and I found that Thomas Farr who was presumably married to Rebecca Sprague mentions a wife Sally. So either Rebecca died and then he married Sally or Rebecca was married to a different Thomas Farr. Vanessa is still working on that one. I finally finished the Davis line and made some changes. I'm now working on the Clarke line and will soon start on the Patten line. In July I went to my Harris line reunion in Harrisville, UT where I grew up. Brent Farr Robertson was there also because we connect through that family also. The organization includes descendants of Nathan Harris the father of Martin Harris. I come through Nathan's son Emer. At the reunion they said that they were part of a pilot project called CTE (Controlled Tree Edit). In CTE no one can make changes to your family tree without the change being approved through a person in the family designated to accept or reject proposed changes. If CTE works and is implemented, it would be a great relief for me on the Farr line. I'm always having to go back and fix or delete changes that other people make to our Farr line. One time, not too long ago, It took me a week to restore our Farr line in England. CTE would have prevented that from happening. This time I submitted 74 ordinances to the Temple System for work to be done. Tim
